The Plan for the Polyamourous Routes

Hello!

So now that all the DLC characters have been revealed, I thought I'd discuss my plans for the potential polyamourous routes ๐Ÿ™‚.

One change I've made from the original plan is splitting them up into their own individual stretch goals, so that if there's one in particular that's in high request (looking at you Tommy and Ellis), it's easier to reach that goal than it might originally have been ๐Ÿ˜Š.

If there's a pairing you're interested in, and you don't see them below, feel free to let us know in a message. Ultimately we'll only add in routes that we can think of a good plot/dynamic for, but it's worth shooting us a message to see. If we know there's a lot of requests for a particular pairing, we might be able to make it work :) Some pairings we just may not have considered yet, for whatever reason.

With all that said, here are the routes we were planning to offer thus far:

Tommy/Ellis:

Probably the most requested route by far. This route would be tied into their main route/plot and accessed via playing their main routes.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Casey/Marissa:

Childhood best friends turned into something more :). This route would be tied into their main route/plot and accessed via playing their main routes.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Violet/Marissa:

Different in a lot of ways, and yet both confident and fun-loving, Violet and Marissa have a habit of meeting at parties, and you're invited along for the fun. This route would be a standalone route and we plan for it to be accessed in a similar way to the DLC characters.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Jack/Tommy:

When they keep meeting at different University clubs, Jack and Tommy strike up a playful rivalry that you end up caught in the middle of. And thus begins this route. This route would be a standalone route and we plan for it to be accessed in a similar way to the DLC characters.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Artemis/Abby:

After seeing Abby struggling during a class presentation due to her nerves, Artemis decides to help her with her confidence. He claims this is all part of a plot to turn her to the dark side. Concerned, you decide to keep an eye on the two.

If Artemis and Abby are both funded also, this could be tied into their main route. If not this would be a standalone route.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Elanora/Violet:

After meeting in a class, Elanora and Violet hit it off straight away, with a shared love of crafting, clothing, and taking tea. Luckily, you're invited to share in their lunch time dates. This route would be a standalone route and we plan for it to be accessed in a similar way to the DLC characters.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tommy/Mason:

You're not quite sure how Tommy and Mason ended up in a prank war, or how you ended up being roped into their schemes as the judge, but it's up to you to keep this as good lighthearted fun. And perhaps do some plotting of your own. This route would be a standalone route and we plan for it to be accessed in a similar way to the DLC characters.

If you're wondering why Tommy is in so many of them, it's because he is by far the easiest to have play off of any other character ๐Ÿ˜…. Some characters are easier to make work with multiple people than others. Ellis for instance is much harder to pair up because of his more shy/defensive nature. It's not impossible, it's just far harder to make it seem natural and organic rather than forced.

Let us know what you think in the comments below :) , there's still time to change/add/remove some before the Kickstarter.

Tommy/Ellis, obviously. ๐Ÿ˜œ Tommy/Mason as prank-rivals turned boyfriends sounds fun, too, but that means no-one for Ellis again... ๐Ÿ˜…

Although now I'm wondering what an Ellis/Artemis interaction would look like...

I do worry though that if you include too many poly routes in the campaign, you might not be able to fund other fun stuff, like the DLC characters and alternate outfits.

I was considering an Ellis/Artemis route actually ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. But I wasn't 100% sure on it yet. I have a good idea for their dynamic, but not the full shape of their route haha.

That is also a really good point. I would like for the DLC characters to get funded before their polyamorous routes are ideally, because I think it would make them better/more meaningful.

I'll just have to see how it goes I guess ๐Ÿ˜….

I'm thinking that it might make sense to have the Tommy/Ellis and Casey/Marissa poly routes as quite early in the campaign compared to the others, as these feel like they would be additions to the routes you're already writing, rather than full standalone routes like the others would need to be, and would thus probably be the easiest for you to actually write. ๐Ÿค”

This sounds like a great plan! I am especially hyped for the Tommy/Ellis route, but I'd love to see as many as possible, I hope they get funded!
